After a sad farewell to Tepig, Lewis and I were off to Mt Moon, where we hoped to encounter many new Pokémon. We quickly pass Route 3 where I caught my Squirtle, and reach the entrance to Mt Moon. It is beginning to get dark, so Lewis and I decide to pitch tent and camp for the night.
"Ben, to pass the time, how about we have a friendly battle?" Lewis said.
I look at him, unsure about the idea.
"It'll be fine, I'll even give you an advantage. Your Metapod, a grass type. Against my Piplup, a water type." Lewis continued.
"Ok Lewis, but go easy on us." I replied.
And so it was, Lewis and I were ready to battle.
"Ok, Piplup I choose you!" Lewis said as he threw his Pokéball out.
"Metapod, do your thing!" I shouted as I threw my Pokéball out.
"Piplup, use peck attack!" Lewis said.
"Metapod, use harden!" I said with confidence.
Piplup ran and tried to peck Metapod, only to hurt it's beak as Metapod hardened at the last minute.
Piplup did not seem impressed by this, and ran towards Metapod again, this time jumping over Metapod and shooting a water gun at the back of Metapod, which shoots back and hits Piplup.
"Piplup, let's try something different. Use water gun to shoot yourself towards Metapod" Lewis said.
Piplup shoots a water gun at the ground, sending itself flying towards Metapod.
"Now, quickly turn and use peck!"
Piplup does this, and connects with Metapod. As Piplup connects, Metapod appears to break.
"METAPOD" I shout in fear.
I run to Metapod, but get blinded by the bright light being emitted by the crack on Metapod. I regain vision just in time to see Metapod's casing completely break apart, and out flies...
"Whu, Metapod evolved? I now have a Butterfree!" I say with great joy.
Butterfree flies about, testing out her new wings.
"Freeeeee" Butterfree exclaims.
"Hi there Butterfree, how are you?" I asked
Butterfree flies around my head, then lands on my shoulder. I knew she was excited. Lewis and I decide to call it a night, and return to our tents. Anxiously waiting for whatever tomorrow may bring. |

I LOVE the way you evolved Metapod. Great entry, looking forward to the rest.

THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE IS FROM TEAM ROCKET! My name is Giovanni. You all may remember me as the former Viridian gym leader and former Team rocket leader. Team Rocker was defunct, but we're back. And our first mission is to ransack all of the moon stones from Mt.Moon! Then we will evolve our Nidorino and be extremely powerful! If anyone gets in our way, expect to be wiped out for good. All we care about is getting total control of Kanto. We are Team Rocket and no-one will stop us!! The TV then goes a mixture of black and white making a fuzzy noise, signalling at the fact the message was over! |
